Kitchen Tune-Up is seeking an experienced Trim Carpenter / Cabinet Installer to work on home remodeling projects in the Buffalo, NY area. Services include our exclusive 1 Day Wood Restoration Tune-Up, cabinet painting, cabinet re-dooring, cabinet refacing, and custom cabinets.

Job Description: Kitchen Demolition, Cabinet Installation, Restoration, Refacing, Redooring, & Painting projects along with hinge, hardware, and accessory installation, while maintaining quality control and jobsite cleanliness.

Responsibilities/Duties:

Manage personal time clock and clock in and out daily for jobs and breaks
Provide own work gear and hand tools. Kitchen Tune-Up provides most power tools
Using the information provided, make a list of required materials and tools needed each day and direct team to load van
Ability to use and give advice on the use of job specific tools to install cabinetry, hardware, crown, base, and trim
Direct team and help install cabinet boxes and doors, laying them out using the floorplan while leveling and screwing them into place
Install custom cabinets designed for specific rooms in a house other than the kitchen
Direct team and help measure and cut wood, veneers, or other materials using a tape measure, table saw, miter saw, &/or other tools
Use paint supplies to clean, sand, prime, & paint cabinet boxes and trim
Use Tune Up supplies to clean & repair existing wood cabinetry
Direct team and help install sheetrock using hand tools such as a tape measure, razor knife, and impact gun
Finish and paint all sheetrock using tape, mud, corner bead, joint knifes, taping knives, and other drywall tools
Installing flooring materials such as LVT, tile, &/or hardwood
Install tile backsplash using a tile saw, tile adhesive, grout, and sealer when needed
Perform minor HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical work including capping plumbing when removing countertops and hooking up dishwashers when necessary.
Hang floating shelves, affix door hinges, install drawer slides, handles, and other storage solutions
As each day ends, remove all tools and load them onto a truck while cleaning up the customer’s home
Clean up any sawdust, discarded wood and product packaging. Vacuum and dust the work area before leaving each day.
Maintain a safe and clean job site
Communicate daily about job progress and provide progress pictures
Report directly to Project Manager and Owner

Job Requirements:

Stellar work ethic
Positive attitude and ability to communicate well with customers and colleagues
Ability to work in Buffalo, NY and surrounding communities
Must take personal pride in a job well done the first time
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow directions without deviating
Valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record
Ability to perform physical labor, including but not limited to lifting and moving heavy objects multiple times a day

Experience Required:

4+ years of trim carpentry experience with direct experience installing and renovating kitchens

Compensation:

$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
